Gideon, what did you think Emily was talking about when she told you Reid told her about something that happened to him during his kidnapping?

     Reid: If you'll excuse me. *gets out of his chair and starts to leave*

     Hotch: Reid?

     Reid: *shakes his head* You can go ahead and answer the question, I just, I can't be here for it.

     JJ: Reid...

     Morgan: *goes to Reid and gently grasps his arm* Come on, I'll go with you.

     Reid: *swallows, then turns and folds himself into Morgan's shoulder momentarily before all but running offstage*

     Hotch stares after them with a frown; everyone else but Gideon and Haley look uncomfortable.

     Gideon: It's fine. I thought she was talking about Hankel having raped him. *JJ and Garcia wince.*

     Emily: *notes everyone's discomfort* I think we'll take a break here for a few minutes.

Haley, if Hotch is "Mom" and Gideon is "Dad", what part if any do you see yourself playing in the team?

     Hotch: *butting in* She plays the role of my sanity.

     Haley: *smiles softly at Hotch before answering* I'm someone who's close enough to know what's going on, but I'm not a part of the team. I only see what the team goes through at a remove, so I can look at things objectively.

     Morgan: She's great at playing devil's advocate, too.

     Emily: Also giving a timely kick in the ass.

     Garcia: Figuratively speaking.

     JJ: Although, sometimes I wish it weren't.

     Everyone laughs.

Reid, what was going through your mind when Morgan told his Mom about you guys?

     Reid: Fran was awesome when we went up to Chicago... I knew she wouldn't have a problem with Morgan being bi, or him being with me.

     Morgan: *staring suspiciously at Reid* You were scared to death. You think I couldn't feel your heart going a mile a minute?

     Reid: That was because I wanted to jump you.

Morgan, do you ever get jealous of any of Reid's other relationships?

     Morgan: What relationships?

     Reid: *stares* Are you serious?

     Morgan: *looks confused*

     Reid: *starts ticking off on his fingers* Everyone else on the team, Haley, Jack, Ethan, oh, and how about Lila--

     Morgan: That doesn't even count!

     Gideon: She did come all the way from --

     Morgan: Don't you even start!

     Gideon: *smiles and sits back in his seat*

Haley, you're very generous in the comfort and support you give Aaron and the team, but what about when you need comfort and support? When Aaron's not around, would you turn to anyone else on the team? And, if they weren't available, do you have your own set of friends who can help you with those periods of worry and waiting when the team's in the field?

     Haley: I have friends of my own, but they don't really understand the kind of commitment I made when I married Aaron. *pauses to look at the faces everyone else is making*

     Morgan: *mumbles* To put it mildly.

     Haley: Derek.

     Morgan: Shutting up now.

     Haley: I talk to Jason a lot. And Derek, sometimes.

     Garcia: *glares*

     Haley: Okay, okay, I call Penelope when I'm worried about Aaron.

     Garcia: *raises an eyebrow* Just Hotch?

     Haley: I could answer that question, but... *smirks*

     Reid: Can we have the next question please?

Hotch, do you sometimes wish that you could just give all that leadership responsibility to someone else?

     Hotch: Of course. I think if I ever get to the point where I didn't want to give up that responsibility even a little bit, it'll be time for me to leave the FBI.

     Gideon: We do what we can to make sure that doesn't happen.

     JJ: Who is this 'we' you speak of?

     Reid and Garcia laugh.

How do you think you'd deal with it if you got a supportive supervisor or friend who could be your 'mom'/'parental figure'? Would you distrust them, or would you be happy to let them take some of the strain?

     Emily: I'd really like to meet someone who could out-Mom Hotch.

     Reid laughs.

     Hotch: *half-grins* I'll take that as a compliment.

     Emily nods.

     Hotch: I hate to talk about someone who hasn't actually been introduced, but Sebastian Merrick, who replaced Erin Strauss--

     Everyone shudders at that name.

     JJ: Thank God she's gone.

     Garcia: You can say that again.

     JJ: Thank God--

     Hotch: We get the point.

     Reid: *snicker*

     Hotch: Merrick has been very supportive of me, personally, and of us as a team. I wouldn't say he's a parental figure, but I do see him as a friend.

     Haley: I think the family's pretty complete at this point.

     Gideon: Given the kind of relationships we have on the team, it'd be hard for someone new to build a relationship like that.

Emily, given that you now know that the team wants and needs you there, however you got the job in the first place, and that you're dating JJ, where do you see yourself fitting into the BAU 'family'?

     Morgan: She fits in right behind me and a little to my left.

     Penelope and Spencer snigger, then give up and start laughing uncontrollably.

     Emily: *gives Morgan the evil eye* Morgan?

     Morgan: Yeah?

     JJ: *smiles and ducks in her seat*

     Emily: This is me going to the Dark Side. *reaches over JJ and whaps Morgan in the back of the head*

     Gideon: I think she fits in just fine.

Emily and JJ, do your mothers know about your relationship? How did they react to the news?

     Emily: Ambassador Prentiss said, and I quote, "Oh, thank god."

     JJ: *wrinkles her nose* I definitely wasn't expecting that reaction. And no, I haven't told my family. *shivers*

Garcia, given that the rest of the team seems to have paired off with each other, do you ever feel left out or get lonely?

     Gideon: We pry her out of her bunker every now and then.

     Hotch: Chocolate makes good bait.

     Morgan: If Reid doesn't get to it first.

     Reid: Hey! I share...

     Everyone laughs.

     Garcia: You'd think that, but Morgan and I still flirt, and now that he and Reid hooked up? I just flirt with Reid, too. It's fun seeing how flustered I can make him.

     Reid: *blushes and grumbles*

Morgan and Reid, have you ever thought of adopting kids? Is Morgan's mother pushing for grandkids?

     Morgan and Reid look at each other.

     Morgan: We've thought about it. With our work with the team--

     Haley: Morgan--

     Reid: Let's not talk about that now.

     Morgan: Mom knows about Charlie. But she's dropped a few hints.

     Reid: *squeaks* Yes? *turns red and tries to hide*

     Morgan: *looks at Reid* Yes? You're not sure?

     Reid: *sounding choked* See if I ever top you again.

     Everyone laughs.

Morgan, I still don't really understand why you broke up with Reid when he was hurt. What were you thinking, ya dumb lug!

     Morgan: *winces* I knew that was coming.

     Reid rests a hand on Morgan's thigh and squeezes gently.

     Morgan: I was thinking that I couldn't stand to see him...*takes a shuddering breath*...in another situation like that. I knew he wouldn't stay in the FBI, so he wouldn't be...

     Reid: Then I had to go ruin it by throwing myself under a truck.

     Morgan: *reaches behind Reid and shakes him gently by the back of the neck.* You're excused for that one.

     JJ: I should hope so, considering who he threw under there with him.

JJ, how long have you been attracted to Emily?

     JJ: *turns red and suddenly becomes fascinated by the ceiling fixtures*

     Emily and JJ share a look.

     Emily: Next question please.

Morgan, were you at all jealous or concerned about Reid meeting up with Ethan?

     Reid: *leans forward before the question is finished* Yes.

     Morgan: Would you let me answer my own questions?

     Reid: You're butting in on everyone else's.

     Morgan: Okay, and?

     Reid: So, I said yes.

     Morgan: *stares*

     Reid: You can finish answering now.

     Morgan: You already answered the question.

     Reid: *shrugs* Okay, then, next question please?

Garcia -- what were you thinking taking that picture?!

     Garcia: *cringes and tries to make herself smaller* They were cute?
