I got this one from [personal profile] bofoddity, who asked some tough questions!

Leave me a comment saying "Resistance is Futile" (or if you're X-File-y, "Resist or Serve").

• I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity
• Update your journal with the answers to the questions
• Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions

My questions were:

1. What's your guiltiest musical pleasure?

Oh boy. Probably Media Ventures' movie scores (Hans Zimmer et. al). Also, boybands, particularly Backstreet Boys and Westlife.

2. How many languages do you speak?

Fluently, one (English, American). Sort of, three (French, German, Spanish). But I can read Hebrew phonetically if that counts!

3. What's your least favorite romantic trope?

Oh, wow. Um. Sex heals everything, probably.

4. Which genre feels more natural for you, fantasy or science fiction?

Fantasy. I think. At least, I manage to get 'hooked' by a lot more fantasy than I do science fiction, and even the sci fi I do get hooked by tend to have aspects of fantasy in them...

5. What's your favorite method of traveling?

I actually love taking long car trips, because I've found all the best restaurants and hole-in-the-wall places to visit on them. And I do a lot of plotting and stuff while I can't actually, you know, write, so eight hours on the road is like a free ticket to plotbunnyville.

What Is Your Battle Cry?

Lo! Who is that, stalking amidst the icy wasteland! It is Thefrogg, hands clutching a mighty sword! And with a spectacular grunt, her voice cometh:

"I'm going to beat you until you turn magenta, and throw you out the window!"

Stolen from everywhere, but primarily from [livejournal.com profile] synecdochic:

Comment with a story I've written, and I will tell you one thing I knew, learned, or wondered about while writing the story that didn't make it onto the page.

Memes.

From [livejournal.com profile] sabinelagrande:

1. Bold the names of people you'd definitely shag.
2. Italicize the names of people you might shag after a little persuasion.
3. Leave the people who don't do anything for you alone.
4. Put a question mark after the people you've never heard of ?
5. Strike the people you wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole.
6. ADD FOUR OF YOUR OWN AT THE END.*
7. Underline the people whom you would rather see having sex with another person.

Everyone else is doing it so why can't I? )

Also from [livejournal.com profile] sabinelagrande:

Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll write you at least a hundred words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.  Or at least I'll try.  I tend to do pretty well prompted, just not, you know, finishing WIP smutfic.

Meme!

Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] slybrarian: Post a single sentence from each WIP you have (or as many as you want to pick). No context, no explanations. No more than one sentence!

1.  She jerked back, letting go as if the knob had burst into flames, and crossed her arms over her chest.

2.  She can only wonder what it was like, alive and prosperous; her respect for the dead keeps her from asking.

3.  Then it was all white and black and blurry colors and gold fire that chased him from awareness, thinking only of holding onto that little bit of darkness because someone told him he had to...

4.  There was nothing left for him to feed off of, nothing to keep the hunger in check.

5.  The twitchy muscles, the inability to sit still, the instinct to flee all these people who were so damned concerned...

6.  "See, I know there's only so much time you're allowed in the gym, and you obviously can't be planning on doing paperwork the rest of the trip, so I figured since all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, you could stand to learn from the most brilliant mind in two galaxies."
