These are just my personal notes on the Of Innocence and Empathy universe, in case I'm not working from my laptop. You may find them interesting, and maybe enlightening. I will likely be returning and updating and/or adding to the information here. Suggestions and comments are welcome.
The OIaE universe operates on the grounded assumption that episodes don't occur back-to-back. We know that months sometimes pass between particular episodes, particularly post-Fisher King, and post-Revelations. We never did (at least, not to my recollection) find out how Gideon injured his foot/leg in the first season, nor was there any mention of it beyond the one episode. [Edit: Gideon was injured in a skydiving incident.]
Morgan and Reid become lovers about a month after Profiler, Profiled, assuming 2-3 months between Profiler, Profiled and No Way Out. The BAU team is aware of their relationship; it is kept in-house. Outside law enforcement, civilians, etc. are not aware of the relationship.
Morgan's mother and sisters know.
I'm as-of-yet undecided whether or not Reid's mother knows.
The cut-off point, show-wise, is the Season 2 finale The Evolution of Frank (otherwise known as No Way Out part II). Nothing in Season 3 or beyond happened in OI&E (Haley didn't turn into a shrew and leave Hotch, Gideon didn't leave the team, Rossi doesn't join the team, etc.).
Original characters to the series are:
The taxi driver (unnamed) - shows up in Knowledge and Innocence
The truck driver (unnamed) - shows up in The Impact of Innocence
Charlie Dunham (Morgan's godson) - first appears in The Impact of Innocence
Tracy Dunham (Charlie's mother) - first appears (unnamed) in The Impact of Innocence; named in Uncertain Empathy
Mark Dunham (Charlie's father) - mentioned in World Wise
Professor Hardiman (one of Reid's college professors) - mentioned in Empathic Epiphany
Stephen (Morgan's friend and may-have-been love interest pre-Carl) - mentioned in Love in the World
Sebastian Merrick - Erin Strauss' replacement post-Earnest Truth
Debra (friend of Haley's) - first appears in A Limit to Generosity
Roomkey protocol, solo rooms:
Each member of the team gets two keys; Hotch gets the third in case of emergency. Gideon gets the third key to Hotch's room.
Roomkey protocol, shared rooms:
Each member of the team gets one key, two people per room (except when Garcia is on-site - then she gets her own room and two keys). Hotch gets the third key and rooms with Gideon; Morgan gets the third key to Hotch's room.
Innocent Blood has been renamed And the World Cried Out; it was written before the OIaE titling format was established.
I figured out what was causing the white space. Unfortunately, it was LJ being an idiot.:( Note to self: Remove all the spaces and carriage returns in the table.

Date: 2007-05-18 06:02 pm (UTC)I think I only watched that episode once, in the 3-day marathon I watched the entire first season (after buying the DVDs).

Date: 2010-01-13 04:31 pm (UTC)I... am flabbergasted. I'm both excited and afraid of beginning to read this. It's a behemoth! And it's going to completely consume my life for, looks like, at least a week. :) Yay! If I read the pieces present, will it feel like a whole story, with "missing scenes" added later, or will I need to be prepared for gaps in the plot?

Date: 2010-01-14 12:24 am (UTC)I will admit that I am not actively writing in this universe anymore, and there are mysteries that were never cleared up. Not saying I'll never go back, but...well. I wrote each chapter so that it *could* stand on its own, hopefully. But they do work better together.

Date: 2010-01-14 03:22 pm (UTC)Trust me, I know the table pain-- that's how my own fiction index is organized. Is there anywhere I can look to find the stories missing from the index, or is it more just browsing through the LJ?
And I also know about semi-abandoned universes. I have quite a few of them. :)

Date: 2010-01-15 02:35 am (UTC)Also, if you start from the first story, there are next/previous links at the bottom of each. (I'm pretty sure there's one place where it's kind of messed up though.)
Man, the world could run on semi-abandoned universes.
